Six Days in a Row

I can't say that every sketch I've done this year has been stellar, but hey, at least I drew something every day.  Here's the round-up from the past three days, and I'll see you again next week!

Wednesday:  Part of the shrub directly outside my living room window (yes, it's still too cold to venture out and about):

The garden statue in the front yard, given to me by my neighbors Jerry and Martha when they moved away:

Thursday:  construction vans blocked my view across the street, and I had already sketched all of the interesting stuff in the front yard, so I did a quick practice painting of the January photo in the bird calendar that my neighbors Dick and Charlsia gave me for Christmas.

Friday (finished by 8:30 this morning!):  Mystery Cat #1.  There are three cats who hang out nearby, none of which belong to anyone on our street.  We suspect they live on the next block over.  Charlsia keeps giving them cat treats which is no doubt why they like to hang out here, as they look well fed and cared for by whoever owns them.

Two of the birds that perch in my yard, waiting for their turn at the feeder.

And finally, here is a very sleepy Truman from late Thursday afternoon, worn out by barking relentlessly at the construction guys across the way!

  1. Ah, he's so tuckered out! Sweet doggie. I've been meaning to tell you that I like the juncos. Very cute birds.
