Desert Days

Truman and I tootled down to Richland (WA) last Thursday to visit family, and we also hoped to escape the smoky haze from British Columbia wildfires, but the haze spread all the way.

This was the Columbia River around 7a.m. on Friday morning.

We got to see a lot of American White Pelicans and Great Egrets on a small island in the river.

I took Tru down to the sandy beach to go wading.  A group of Greylag Geese headed our way.

After a brief dip in the river, Tru spotted the geese in the distance and ran away.

The smoke haze cleared up by Saturday.  More to come!
